Rule Text by Organization

IKSFA International Kettlebell Sport & Fitness Academy

IKSFA age divisions: Amateur Adult, Professional Adult, Juniors Under 14, Juniors Under 16, Juniors Under 18, Masters (40+), and Seniors (55+). Age does not restrict division selection — athletes may compete in a higher age division if they choose.

GSU Girevoy Sport Union

GSU age categories: Junior (under 18 years), Open (standard adult), Veteran (over 40 years). Following IUKL protocol, the age of the participant is defined by year of birth (on 1st of January of current year). There are no upper age limitations — veterans may choose to compete at open/professional level if desired.

IKMF International Kettlebell Marathon Federation

IKMF age divisions: Kids 1 (ages 7-10), Kids 2 (ages 11-13), Junior 1 (ages 14-16), Junior 2 (ages 16-18), Open (ages 19-39), Veteran 1 / V1 (ages 40-49), Veteran 2 / V2 (ages 50-59), Veteran 3 / V3 (ages 60-69), Veteran 4 / V4 (ages 70+). Age is calculated by year of birth. Veterans may also compete in the Open division.

IUKL International Union of Kettlebell Lifting

The age of the participant is defined by year of birth (on 1st of January of current year). Categories: Youth — up to 16 years and up to 18 years; Juniors — up to 22 years; Adults — over 22 years. Youth and juniors may compete with adults with appropriate preparation and permission. There are no upper age limitations — veterans can choose to compete at professional level.

IKO International Kettlebell Organization

IKO age divisions: Open (standard adult), Legends 50+ (athletes aged 50 and over with adjusted KB weights), Legends 60+ Semi-Amateur (athletes aged 60 and over with further reduced KB weights), Futures Under 16 (boys/girls use 12kg/6kg), Futures Under 12 (boys/girls use 8kg/4kg).
