GSU Girevoy Sport Union

During snatch, the kettlebell must not contact the shoulder or rest in any form of rack position. If the kettlebell contacts the shoulder, the judge issues the 'To shift' warning command. Deliberate racking or repeated shoulder contact results in the 'Stop' command and termination of the set.

IKMF International Kettlebell Marathon Federation

Resting in any type of rack position during snatch, including on the shoulder or performing a half snatch, is prohibited. In case of a violation, a no-count warning is issued for the first offence. A second offence results in a 'STOP' command.

IKSFA International Kettlebell Sport & Fitness Academy

Resting in any type of rack position during snatch is prohibited. This includes resting the kettlebell on the shoulder or performing a half snatch (dropping to rack instead of a full swing down). Dropping to rack constitutes a violation — same 3-warning disqualification rule applies.
